Posted by admin On March - 31 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

TPGer says, "If there is a word to describe Ancient Frog, it is classy. Everything about the game just screams class. It’s all very nice-looking, and well done. It’s probably the most polished game on the iPhone. But polish and class doesn’t mean a lick of the game isn’t any good. Is it any good? If you want to find out, and I’m assuming why you’re reading this, then might I suggest that you read on?"

New Netflix Pricing gives PS3 Owners the Blues

Posted by admin On March - 31 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

In a surprising move, Netflix has announced a price adjustment for their Blu-ray rentals, and it’s not the kind that’ll put a smile on your face. Netflix cites the higher cost of Blu-ray discs as the reason for the price hike, despite the fact that Blu-ray prices have dropped significantly at retail over the past 12 months. For those who already subscribe to Blu-ray titles, the price increase will go into effect on April 27, 2009.

The PlayStation Killer

Posted by admin On March - 31 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

An article just posted yesterday on the Telegraph puts it as plain as you can get it;

A father stabbed his partner to death after she threw him out of their bedroom so she could spend the nights playing on a Sony PlayStation Console.

playstation-killerMalcom Palmer, 62, turned on the mother of his three children after she became hooked on Grand Theft Auto. While she was busy getting her game on, he was forced to sleep on the sofa in their living room. Carol Cannom, 46, stayed up all night gaming away (typical of gamers) after her son, 10, was done playing for the evening. Her son would typically play until midnight, and then Ms. Cannom would take the controller from that point on.

“Carol quickly became hooked. He was very unhappy about the amount of time she was playing on the PlayStation,” Said John Pini QC for the prosecution.

The court also heard how Palmer had become convinced that Carol was having an affair, and went on a violent rampage when she told him she wanted him to move out last year. She even went as far as threatened that he would never get to see his children again.

That very evening, Palmer attacked Carol with two knives, inflicting 20 seperate wounds to her upper chest. The murder was overheard by their son James, who called the police. Palmer picked the phone up from his son and simply said, “I’m sorry. I think I’ve killed her.”

Palmer’s defence lawyer Timothy Spencer QC told the court: “The genesis of this tragedy bizarrely lies with the purchase of the PlayStation.” Palmer admitted to the murder and will be sentenced this Wednesday.

Wii Fit for the tech savvy adult

Posted by admin On March - 31 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Examiner:

"Let’s face it: your average adult is not working out with the Nintendo Wii. That doesn’t mean they couldn’t benefit from a more enjoyable exercise experience, but more that they don’t take Wii Fit seriously as a legitimate exercise program.

Enter the ProForm 850 with GameFit Technology. What the eff does "GameFit Technology" mean? Well, it means that this elliptical has some sweet games built in that you can play while working out. When I say sweet, of course, I mean totally lame."
