Here’s a few more Gran Turismo PSP screenshots, showing off the Saleen S7, Mercedes’ SLR McLaren, Ferrari Enzo, and Ford GT. No doubt, the shots look exceptionally good for any game – but are they too good? As with the previous batch, these will no doubt spark lots of debate as to their "legitimacy". You be the judge!

Nintendo list gives hope for 2009 Golden Sun DS Launch in Japan

Posted by admin On July - 31 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Nintendo has released a late 2009/2010 release list of first party titles and the manner in which Golden Sun is listed gives hope for a 2009 release in Japan.

The game is listed alongside The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks as "TBA" for a Japanese release – but interestingly Spirit Tracks is a confirmed Holiday 2009 release in the USA.

With Spirit Tracks dated to hit America before Christmas it’s likely it will also land in Japan before the end of the year – and one that only leaves one other "TBA" game on the list – Golden Sun.

Perhaps that will do the same?

NARUTO Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 – Special Jutsu attacks [Video]

PixelatedGeek says "Back at Comic-Con, Viz Media and Naruto were holding an open tournament using this game. None of the players have played it before since it hasn’t come out yet. Winner received a brand new Wii system. I stayed for the whole competition and enjoyed almost every battle. There were somethings that have yet to be polished though. Mainly the in-game sounds .

Now, at the tournament, no one used the Wiimote and Nunchuck combo. All players opted for the classic Wii controller. I’m not sure why fighting game developers would want to program for the Wiimote and Nunchuck combo. It doesn’t add much to the game and just seems like a waste of effort, in my opinion. If it’s for the sense that you are actually doing that super move, then I know of only young kids would try and do it. But yet, I bet they would get confused anyways.

NARUTO Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 comes out for the Nintendo Wii system November 16, 2009 for $39.99."

Dungeons & Dragons Online Relaunch Delayed

Posted by admin On July - 31 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach

Developer Turbine announced earlier this month that Dungeons & Dragons Online would be ready to relaunch at the beginning of August, but now it looks like MMO junkies will have to wait a bit longer to dive into the newly free-to-play D&D Online; it’s officially been pushed back to September.

Why the setback? Executive producer Fernando Paiz explains:

“We’ve been holding a series of live events as part of the beta program and have seen an unprecedented level of participation from players. While we are very pleased with the performance of the game and are excited about the response from the players, we are committed to delivering a high-quality experience. We feel that more time is needed to deliver on this commitment. As a result, we are delaying our launch to ensure that we can support the massive increase in players that we are expecting and deliver them a free-to-play experience like none other.”

As for when to expect the game to open its doors to the public, DDO VIPs — Turbine’s fancy term for those who continue to pay subscription fees — will now have access to the game starting September 1, while everyone else will be able to jump in on September 9. That’s about a month later than the originally planned relaunch date of August 4.

The Top 10 First and Second Party Studios: Sony

Koku Gamer writes: "We started off with Nintendo and their top 10, and a few days ago we gave the same treatment for Microsoft. Now its Sony’s turn. In some ways this was easy to put together but also very difficult, because in the last 15 years Sony’s PlayStation has been on the market, they have acquired many AAA studios. That’s why it was hard. Many of my personal favorite franchises are made by Sony’s first and second party studios. So here we go, here is Sony’s Top 10 first and second party studios."

Security experts mock Mac security

Posted by admin On July - 31 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

For Ages Apple has been peddling its Macs as being more secure than PCs simply because hackers could not be bothered targeting them. However according to MSNBC, the recent Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas has been dicing and slicing the Mac’s reputation for security with a number of exploits found in Apple’s hardware and software.

Dino Dai Zovi disclosed a software flaw that hackers could use to take control of Macs and steal data that is scrambled to protect it from identity thieves. The show has also been bad news for Iphone users, which were told that Apple’s encryption is a joke and that the Jesus phone could be broken into by someone sending you an SMS.

The show was told that if Macs gain market share there will be a danger that hackers will start having a look under the bonnets of the machines. If they do, they will find it pretty easy to defeat them, presenters said.
