Buy Gran Turismo PSP, Get a Free Car.

DualShockers writes,

"With Gran Turismo PSP releasing tomorrow as well as the PSP Go, it seems that Sony at least wants to move copies of GT PSP. If you purchase GT PSP via the PSN from October 1 – 15, then you will receive a free car in game. To me, this isn’t a good enough deal to push me to purchasing this game right out of the gate, but to some, this may sway them to purchase the game. I just wish Sony wouldn’t alienate their consumers so much."

Gamer.no writes: "That said, there are certainly many who will love the game, and I can definitely accept it. There are many good things here, but I feel nevertheless that this should be much better. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is in my book a classic, and a milestone within the gaming medium. The same will never Uncharted 2: Among Thieves be. Sad, but true.

NVIDIA’s FERMI (GT300): Architected for Tesla, 3 Billion Transistors in 209

Posted by admin On September - 30 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

NVIDIA astonished us with GT200 tipping the scales at 1.4 billion transistors. Fermi is more than twice that at 3 billion. And literally, that’s what Fermi is – more than twice a GT200.

At the high level the specs are simple. Fermi has a 384-bit GDDR5 memory interface and 512 cores. That’s more than twice the processing power of GT200 but, just like RV870 (Cypress), it’s not twice the memory bandwidth.

LGJ: Products LiabilODST

Posted by admin On September - 30 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Something that comes up from time to time in the gaming world is faulty products. Or potentially faulty products. Most recently, it seems to be Halo 3: ODST at the center of the issue (which, for the record, I’ve had no trouble with thus far), but the issue has touched numerous games, including Guitar Hero III, and consoles. While most people might lump all this together into ’stuff that’s broken,’ the reality is it touches two legal topics: warranty and products liability.

To make the distinction between the two simple, a warranty makes sure you get a working product, and products liability makes the manufacturer liable for damages the product may cause because of defects.

City of Heroes Double Header Weekend

Posted by admin On September - 30 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

NCsoft are having a reactivation weekend to encourage lapsed players to come back and try Episode 16: Power Spectrum. Those who have drifted away from the comic book hero MMO will be able to reactivate their account for free between the 8th and 11th of October.

That is not all though. City of Heroes will also be having a double XP event on the same weekend which is open to all current and returning players.

If you fancy giving the Power Customization or Mission Architect a go or just feel like reliving past glories then next weekend might be a good time to do it.

Here’s some screen shots to get you in the mood.
