Running down a dream…

We’ve more or less known BioWare would be releasing Dragon Age 2 some time early next year — Electronic Arts practically announced as much a few months ago, and Awakening teased a new Dragon Age title for February 1, 2011. But today, EA has officially confirmed the existence of Dragon Age 2, and Game Informer has the first few details on the title as well.

The confirmation came nestled in a press release concerning EA taking over control of Warhammer Online in Europe (via VG247), which lists “Dragon Age 2, the highly anticipated sequel to 2009’s ‘RPG of the Year’ Dragon Age: Origins,” as one of the titles that BioWare currently has in development. Furthermore, Game Informer’s website is teasing an upcoming cover story for Dragon Age 2, with the tease revealing the new game will feature a “new hero, a different part of the world, and a ton of surprising improvements.”

That’s about all Game Informer is revealing right now, but the promise of a “new hero” already seems to suggests players won’t transfer their character from Dragon Age: Origins into Dragon Age 2, the way players could transfer their version of Commander Shepard from Mass Effect into Mass Effect 2. Still, that’s not entirely certain yet, so we’ll see what BioWare has to say when more details are revealed.

Actress Zhang Ziyi was engaged to venture capitalist Vivi Nevo.  You might now Zhang Zivi from small movies like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, and Rush Hour 2.  So, what could have caused this epic ending of an engagement?  The Internet is to blame here.

Apparently, Vivi is a big online gamer and forum user.  He dabbled with some online dating as well.  This only goes down hill.  Vivi has decided that he would fall in love with a fellow forum user while he was engaged to Zhang.  Zhang does not take to kindly to this and calls off their whole engagement.

Ok folks, if you are engaged to a hottie, you need not be looking to internet forums for more luvin.  You can’t park two Ferrari’s in the same garage of love.  Well, that is unless your awesome Hugh who owns a whole dealership of Ferrari’s, but that is a whole different kinda love garage.  This is just a thought that you should take under advisement.

GN writes, "A podcast dedicated to Dragon Age: Origins has featured an interview with the Baldur’s Gate 2: Redux mod team, focused on recreating the original Baldur’s Gate 2 experience using the Dragon Age engine. The modding group has had great success so far in recreating parts of the Irenicus Dungeon, screenshots of which can be found on the team’s site. The Dragon Age Podcast group’s interview reveals all the secrets behind the modding effort, including how others can get involved and some very ambitious release dates.

After rumors of a major Dragon Quest X announcement incoming, it seems like those rumors can be put to bed with the announcement of a different Wii Dragon Quest title coming from Square Enix in the form of Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Victory.

There are some hints that Dragon Quest X will be featured on the next episode of Tama Newton with an appearance by Ryutaro Ichimura. However, it isn’t entirely clear if Dragon Quest X will be on the show or if it will be a treasure map from Dragon Quest IX.

Andriasang: In its latest issue, Weekly Shounen Jump promised for its next issue a big feature on a new entry in a popular series. First details from that next issue have leaked out through the usual source, and it seems that there are three possibilities for what the magazine was referring to.
