DoDo Go(es) Online With Cool Content for DSi

Posted by admin On March - 1 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

DoDo Go!Digital entertainment designer Alien After All has launched the official website of its first video game on Nintendo DSi.   DodoGo! is exclusively available for download from the Nintendo DSi Shop and promises some fun interactive content.

With DodoGo! you don’t just play on Nintendo DSi. To extend the game experience and stimulate the competitive spirit of the players, Alien After All sets new challenges on the game’s official site: www.dodogohome.com. This site enables visitors to follow the current events of the game, to download exclusive gifts, and to participate, whatever their level, in the players’ world classification of DodoGo!

By using the website, players have the opportunity to compete with other players via a system of world classification, or world ranking. Here players can assess their level and measure their progress throughout the adventure. In order to subscribe to the world ranking system, players will need to get their activation code from the Internet Code section of the game’s option menu. They can access the official site of the game from a PC or from their DSi console with the Nintendo DSi browser.

On the site, players need only click on ‘Enter your code’ and follow the instructions given on the screen. Their progression and rank will be registered and shown on the homepage of the official website.  Players will also find exclusive DodoGo! gifts to download from the official website. The music from the game is available in mp3 and is compatible with all current software players.

DLC Set to Debut for Dark Void Next Week

Posted by admin On February - 7 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Dark Void’s first piece of downloadable content comes in the form of the ever present third person shooter ‘horde mode.’ Pitting players against groups of enemies across ten levels of increasing difficulty seems par for the course, but Dark Void’s flying mechanic should help differentiate it from the loads of other games that follow this formula. Coming on February 10th on the Xbox 360 and the 11th on the PS3, the new DLC will be available for 5 bucks on both platforms.

While some gamers would be excited about this new DLC, I am actually more hyped about getting the soundtrack from the game. Being that the soundtrack was composed by Bear McCreary, the composer behind the soundtrack of Battlestar Galactica, my expectations are rather high for this release. Along with over 80 minutes of the fully orchestrated score from the game, the 8 bit remix of the Theme from Dark Void, featured in Dark Void Zero (The Downloadable neo-retro game for the Nintendo DSi), is also included. Look for the soundtrack to hit store shelves and digital download services on February 9th.

Aardman Animations LTD. has created an animation using Flipnote Studio on the Nintendo DSi. Aardman Animations is the studio you may know from popular stop-motion animated features like Chicken Run, Creature Comforts and the Wallace & Gromit series. They put their animation skills to play on the Nintendo DSi’s free application, Flipnote Studio. It basically works like a flipbook, where you draw out frames using the Stylus. You can also share your creations online.

Metroid Prime Still Has A Future

Posted by admin On November - 17 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption may not be the last game in the Prime series. With Other M on the way next year, some might have thought that the Prime series had come to an end but, as Nintendo’s Kensuke Tanabe told ONM, the series may still have a future.

Asked whether Samus will ever return to DS, Tanabe (who oversaw Retro Studios’ series for Nintendo) said "We are always planning to make new games in the Metroid Prime series. Depending on the timing and the situation, we cannot deny the possibility of realising it on DS or DSi."
