There are currently no details as to when the game will hit the services mentioned above, but rest assured we’re following up with LucasArts right now.

Associated Content: Since 1994, the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rates video games hitting the store shelves. Ratings can help gamers and parents decide which games to buy. Although, there are times when I feel the ESRB gets the ratings wrong. Here are video games undeserving of their ESRB rating and why.

$99 for a home set-up service

Posted by admin On January - 10 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Target have decided to take advantage of their less tech-savvy customers (of which there are many I may add) and offer a home set-up service for technophobes who have decided to pick up the latest consoles.

For a mere 99 bucks you can have someone come round to your house and carry out the following:

  • Connect to TV or home theatre
  • Configure gaming console
  • Enable Parental Controls (if required)
  • Set up/optimize wireless router
  • Register up to five online accounts
  • Set up a PC to allow content streaming

To most of you these will seem like pretty ordinary tasks but, if you ask anyone who works in a games store, there are people out there who have trouble setting up their consoles – one of the main sources of aggravation being the Xbox Wireless Adapter.

Thanks Kotaku.

The Top 7 iPhone Games You Need To Play

Koku Gamer writes: "Sorting through the 6,000+ games in the iTunes App store one by one is a tedious and frustrating process. With literally every single genre of game represented, lite or full versions offered and thousands of copycat titles, who has the time to play them all? Well, not me. I actually have a life. I have played a lot of the games in the App store, though and lucky for you I’ve made a list. These games are the cream of the crop, according to yours truly. Here is my "Top 7 iPhone Games You Need To Play."

OXCGN: Ten 360 Games You Haven’t Played – Part 1

OXCGN: "To start: shame on you! The mere fact I’m sitting down to write a list like this is because of all the those poor, down-trodden games sitting in bargain bins because YOU didn’t buy them.

Right, now that a significant number of you reading this hate me, onto the main topic at hand: why you should be shelling out for them right now. Get your shoes on while you read, as you’ll be walking down to the local games store once you finish this, or, even easier, just open a new tab on your internet browser and get eBay loading while you read."

Retro Lookback: "Do you want to save?"

Posted by admin On April - 21 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Gamer Limit writes: "The memory card holds a special place in my gaming heart. One of the evolutionary aspects of console games, memory cards pushed past the battery backup conundrum and allowed games to store larger amounts of information and push the onus of control to the player. Rather then forcing players to use passwords or restricting save points to "slots" on cartridge batteries (which die), memory cards allowed transportation of data between consoles and opened up a whole new world of innovative techniques and game elements.

With the venerable memcard losing ground to the hard drive, I’ll still look back on the little piece of plastic as one of the best parts of gaming for myself over the past decade in gaming. But before we can appreciate the memory card, we need to look at what used to exist before the system of portable storage was developed. We’ve come a long way, and it was definitely a rocky road."
