God Of War 3 Review: Succeeds as a Trinity- Gameguru

Posted by admin On March - 13 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Gameguru "God of War 3 is a good action game but since we have seen most of the mechanics work in its previous games they feel washed out. This does imply that it’s not satisfying to see Kratos drenched in the blood of his enemies but the problem is that it is not completely consistent throughout. It brings closure to the trilogy in a spectacular fashion but when looked upon as an action/slasher game in the sea, it falls weak. We believe it suffers from the Halo 3 syndrome where if you loved Halo 1 and 2 you would love all Halos created."

9 Games that need to be remade on the Xbox 360

Posted by admin On February - 28 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

GB writes: "Folks we are in the seventh generation of gaming and are being blown away by the power of Xbox 360. All of us who have bought the Xbox 360 must have bought many blockbuster games along with it like Gears of War, Halo 3 and the more recent Mass Effect 2.

But there are many great games which we have played last generation (and in previous ones too) and we are forced to wonder if we will ever get to play them with next generation graphics and game play. We decide to list those games which should be remade on the Xbox 360."

Halo 3 PC was in Development with the Xbox 360 Version?

Posted by admin On February - 27 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

The first Halo was being developed for the personal computer (Mac to be precise) before it jumped ship onto the Xbox. Halo 2 followed a similar suit and was tagged as being one of the first games to be available for Windows Vista. Halo 3 was rumored to fall in the footsteps along with its predecessors and make an appearance onto the platform, however it never did.

This, however, might just be subject to change after you have a look at "Matt Waggle" who served as an object artist for Bungie Studios during the project. His duties included working on Halo 3 which was being developed for the Xbox 360 and PC at that point in time.

Bungie explains why Halo: Reach instead of "Halo 4"

Posted by admin On February - 24 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Bungie’s next game, Halo: Reach, will likely be the last Bungie-developed Halo. This being the case, one might have expected the studio to make its last installment in the series a traditional sequel to Halo 3 — you know, a "Halo 4."

But Bungie had other plans.

Instead, the developer opted to go a different route, and what we’re getting — Halo: Reach — is a prequel to the original Halo.

Bungie’s reasoning explained inside.

Halo Reach Proves Killzone 2’s Worth To The Xbox 360

One look at Halo Reach and you can see it all falling into place. Halo 3 was good, it looked ok and played well but Microsoft needed something better, something to make people say "wow, look what the Xbox 360 can do!". with one look at the new footage and screenshots from Halo Reach it’s easy to see that Bungie are really trying to push for something special now, something better than just another Halo game.

And it’s thanks in no small part to Killzone 2 and the PS3

Halo: Reach Seems Like What Halo 3 Should’ve Been

Posted by admin On February - 15 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

RespawnAction: " Remember back in 2007, where on that tuesday, September 25th, you anxiously sat in your chair at work or school? You looked at the clock every few minutes as time slowly ticked away? You knew that once you got out of the current hellhole you were in, you were going to do one of two things. Either go wait at your local Gamestop for eight hours until midnight, or go home and play Halo 2 on Live in anticipation for what was to come. This was the night Halo 3 was released, and millions of people were in the hype to, at the time, end the Halo series."

Halo: Reach; Still Not Close To KillZone 2

Posted by admin On February - 12 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Bungie Talks Visual Upgrades In Halo: Reach; Still Not Close To KillZone 2 Bungie released a new developer documentary from the X10 event and it primarily focuses on how Halo: Reach will now look like a game that partly belongs in this generation of gaming.

Let’s face it, Halo 3 looked like crap to be considered "next-gen"…it barely looked like it graduated from the visuals of the original Xbox. This is despite fanboys protesting otherwise.

Anyway, Bungie has finally brought the visuals of the Halo series up to par with maybe, the first Mass Effect. So at least die-hard fans of the sci-fi shooter can brag to their PS3 rivals that they have a Halo that at least looks two years behind the competition. Reach is still no KillZone 2, though. Word of advice to Bungie: only brag about the graphics of a game when it looks better than the competition.
