Top 5 Best-Selling PS3 Exclusive Titles To Date
More than 3 years after the PlayStation 3’s release, the system continues to amaze many with its incredible video game library. Uncharted 2, God of War 3 and Heavy Rain are just some of the latest PS3 games that have sold well in 2009 and 2010. But from the time of the PS3’s release in 2006 and today, there have been 5 PS3 exclusive games that have sold more than any other PS3 exclusive. Here are the top 5 best selling PS3 exclusive games to date.
The PS3’s Biggest Exclusive For 2010 Is…
TheSixthAxis: "You can’t deny that the PS3 has already had a cracking 2010, with big hitters like Heavy Rain and God of War III already out of the starting blocks. And although Gran Turismo 5 is still set for later this year, none of the above can match up with this year’s finest title, the one I literally can’t stop playing… "
Just Cause 2 Is Blatantly Better Than Heavy Rain
Heavy Rain is, without a doubt, one of the most important games of 2010. It was critically praised for its involvement and emotional entanglement, but put down for its dumb story and other glaring issues. Just Cause 2 is, without a doubt, one of the most energetic titles of the last decade, surpassing San Andreas. It has been critically praised for its visual standards and encouragement of blowing stuff up, but put down for the lack of multiplayer and other issues.

6 April games you probably won’t buy (but totally should)
Ex: "After the literal deluge of high quality video games over the last several months, it’s perfectly understandable that April might be a time where gamers decide to give their wallets a little bit of a respite until summer. There’s still some big name titles coming out this month, but it’s a far cry from January and February which brought gamers a slew of top tier hits like Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy XIII and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
While it makes sense to save your money this month for the likes of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Conviction or Square Enix’s NIER, there’s a number of hidden gems being released over the next several weeks as well. They might not be as heavily advertised or hyped as mainstream titles, but they have just as much potential. Most will probably end up overlooking these lesser known games in favor of April’s "big releases", but you should totally buy them anyway."
Alan Wake Spoilers Spam the Web
NextGN writes: "There were a lot of pissed off gamers back in February, and they had every right to be. There’s a small group of people on the Internet that get their rocks off by spamming the web with spoilers. It happened to Quantic’s Dream’s Heavy Rain and now it’s happening to Alan Wake."
GoWIII smashes series’ sales records in UK
Not only did Sony’s God of War III shoot straight to the top of the ELSPA GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top 40 this week, it also set a new sales standard for Sony’s violent action series.
The game bettered the week-one sales performance of its PS2 predecessor by 2.65-to-1, despite the fact that the PS3 install base is far smaller right now than the PS2’s was at the time GoWII was released.
The victory is also a notable one for Sony. In 2009 the platform holder managed just one first party number one, Killzone 2. Yet already in 2010 Sony is enjoying its second chart-topper, following the success of Heavy Rain three weeks ago.
UK Software Charts (22/Mar): Kratos Is God of Charts
SPOnG: "God of War III dominates the UK software charts this week (courtesy GfK-Chart Track), as the PlayStation 3 exclusive pummels its way to #1. It marks Sony’s second top-spot victory in as many months, with Heavy Rain achieving the same in February. Kratos’ latest adventure outsold God of War II’s launch by a ratio of 2.65 to 1."
