Kingdom Hearts coded’s senior planner, Jun Kato, talks about his personal wishes for the game to be brought to the wider public.

"Kato apparently confided his desire to be able to put the game to a larger audience, given that relatively few people can play ‘coded’ on its current platform (NTT DoCoMo phones). Alas, it’s not easy to understand what he means by that, whether it be that he wants the the game to be more available on a real console or simply on other phone models."

The latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu Weekly has featured an interview with Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura. He was asked specifically about Kingdom Hearts 3, but gave an unexpected answer.

In a recent interview with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura provided several new tidbits about the future of the Kingdom Hearts series.

The next issue of Famitsu Weekly is set to contain an interview with the developers of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, snippets of the interview have been found online and translated.

One snippet talks about the origins of Birth by Sleep.

StickSkills.com writes, "Back in my pre-Xbox 360 days, my only real exposure to RPGs were the Kingdom Hearts series and the various Mario RPGs on the Super Nintendo and Game Boy Advance. To me, RPGs were anime-esque Japanese games that culture gaps didn’t allow me to enjoy. But the dominant RPG experience on the 360 has been the western RPG, like Fallout 3, Fable 2, and the original Mass Effect. The original remains my favorite game of all time, but my heightened expectations for Mass Effect 2 didn’t dampen the experience it all. Good news fans! It looks like the hype train for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep continues to roll well after release! Birth by Sleep continues to rank number one on Amazon.jp when it comes to sales in the Video Games Category, which is quite excellent. Even more surprising however, are the remarkable user reviews – Birth by Sleep has recieved mostly five star reviews.
