Fighting Traffic Tickets

Posted by Polisan On March - 18 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

I hate speeding tickets but I love driving. While driving in general is not that exciting, driving fast is. There seems to be a problem with it called speeding tickets. Nothing can alter your driving mood like the infamous traffic ticket. That’s why I pay much attention to how to fight a speeding ticket.

I got a speeding ticket once off the Oregon Coast for going 65 in a 30mph zone. Unfair I tell you. I am not the only person who has gotten one of those “infractions” for speed limit signs that are unfairly posted; such was the case on a road trip with my friend a while back. You need some knowledge on fight speeding tickets to handle this.

Obviously this did not matter to the cop who pulled me over. I cannot even begin to tell you how annoyed I get too when they ask why they pulled you over. I think they get enjoyment out of asking that stupid little phrase. Apparently they have to ask you this to get you to confess to your “crime.” It is not a crime! If you weren’t meant to speed then why do they make cars that go faster than the average speed limit? I tell you it is a government conspiracy! They force you to learn how to get out of a speeding ticket.

You know what else I hate about speeding tickets? Contesting them; not only does it take time out of your day it is usually at the most inconvenient time like during work hours. How much sense does it make? It is like a double whammy because your $100.00 ticket has now turned into a $200.00 ticket because you missed a day of work. We gotta stick it to the man and fight speeding tickets!

Of course if you are a girl you have a better change at getting a warning then a full on ticket, well that is if you are lucky enough to get pulled over by a man cop. True story, I was driving down some road in Arizona and I got pulled over for passing on a double yellow, in front on coming traffic, which just happened to be a light green cop car, going 90 in a 35, with a Washington driver’s license, a car registered in California, and insurance in Arizona!

Now I would like to say that I got off with a warning because I was all jazzed up that day, but I would have to say for all those offenses which were pretty obvious, that I got off because he could not prove that I was speeding. I mean, he did not have radar so he could not have been able to pace me and there were no air cops either so he really did not have anything for his defense.

After reading this book I found on contesting speeding tickets, in hind sight I can say it was defiantly the lack of evidence that got me off the hook, not my smile. I have not gotten that lucky all the time but now I know I have a reliable defense when it comes to getting my tickets reduced or thrown out.

I am not likely to get that lucky again and my driving record is not exactly good, so I have to pay fortune to keep my car insured and I cannot stand driving school. When a light turns yellow, what does it mean? Good gosh it is like being in elementary school again. Besides I know the traffic laws I just have a problem when it comes to obeying them.

Obviously to avoid speeding tickets you probably should not speed, but 1. I cannot stand being behind some old man with an oxygen tank in the back of his car; and 2. Most speed limits are too slow. I got a speeding ticket in an alley once for going 10 mph. Gimmi a break! My Grandma can walk faster than that.

In short, contesting the infamous speeding ticket is easy if you know where to find the information you need to beat it.

What the Next Wii Zelda Title Needs

Posted by admin On March - 10 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

resumeplay writes: "Do we heap an unfair amount of expectations on Nintendo? Hmmm…Perhaps the best way to answer this is to consider the level of expectations you hold for a Nintendo-developed title…Yeah, poor Nintendo…So it’ll be a difficult task, indeed, for Nintendo to build a new Zelda title that will please everybody.

So in the spirit of love for our friendly neighborhood big business, here are a few suggestions for the next Wii Zelda title."

Deadly Premonition is blatantly better than Heavy Rain

Posted by admin On February - 28 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Yesterday Destructoid reviewed Deadly Premonition and gave it a score of 10. This comes just weeks after Destructoid reviewed Heavy Rain and gave it a score of 7. Obviously, this means one thing. We, at Destructoid, love the Xbox 360 and want to have sex with it. This conclusion can be drawn thanks to logic, which is a thing the Internet uses to make decisions based on ideas a thirteen-year-old had.

Some people (idiots) believe that I hate Heavy Rain because it is new and unique. The truth of the matter is that these people are gullible f***wits who believe that Heavy Rain is unique just because Sony told them that’s what it was. People who can think for themselves and actually possess some intellectual standards have realized that the game is not really new at all.

While Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 seems to be the recipient of much advertising love from Square-Enix, gamers are still flocking towards the PS3 version of the game in droves. It’s not surprising at all, Final Fantasy titles are most recognizable on said console, but what will make Sony even happier is the fact hat Heavy Rain, a game many worried would not sell well, is at the No.1 spot.

How far would you go to show your love for Video Games? A little Mario shroom maybe, perhaps Sonic on your right shoulder, but a tattoo of Pacman on your ass? I think that’s a bit too much, hit the jump and see what we mean.
