Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Beta ships with Splinter Cell Conviction, Releases Holiday 2010
It’s been a long wait for Ghost Recon fans but Tom Clancy fanatics are entitled to a special treat should they pick up Sam Fisher’s newest outing this April. While game details remain sparse in the press release below (No screenshots Ubisoft? Really?) we do know that Ubisoft Paris is behind this one again. And much like the Halo: Reach beta on the ODST disc, future soldiers will have to wait until summer when the multiplayer demo finally goes live. Strangely, PS3 owners are getting the shaft on this one with the beta only available for members of Xbox Live. The question remains whether gamers will have tired of the whole “Modern Soldier Model” after a year with MW2 and the next Medal of Honor installment.
LONDON – February 9, 2010 – Today Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy™’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier™ is in development at Ubisoft’s Paris studio and is scheduled to be released worldwide Holiday 2010.
Created by the award-winning team behind Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® 2, the game will feature cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will go beyond the core Ghost Recon franchise and deliver a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.
Ubisoft is offering gamers a chance to be the first to play Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’s Multiplayer Beta this summer 2010. This exclusive beta invitation will be available for a limited time to customers who purchase Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction™ for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, which releases on 16 April 2010.

BC2 Demo Is Stupidly Fun
Jeff Marchiafava of Gameinformer writes: "I’ve been playing the 360 multiplayer demo of Bad Company 2 the past couple nights, and for me it falls into the category of being stupidly fun. Not stupid in a simpleminded way (strategy plays more of a role in BC2 than most FPSes I’ve played) but rather so fun that my enjoyment of it just plain stupid – how else can I explain spending countless hours on a one level, one mode demo, when I have so many other amazing games to play?
But my enjoyment of the demo comes as a bit of a surprise, because I didn’t enjoy the original Bad Company’s multiplayer all that much. I played DICE’s Battlefield 1943 first, and after trying out Bad Company for a modest number of hours, I found myself heading right back to World War 2. Which got me wondering – maybe simple is better."

Naughty Dog hopes Uncharted 2 sells 2.5m+ copies
D-Day for the launch of Uncharted 2 is rapidly descending upon us, with PS3 owners worldwide able to get their paws on Naughty Dog’s new game in just under a week. Following the release of the multiplayer demo and the first reviews of game, the hype level has hit a feverish pitch. Will all this pre-release excitement convert into sales though? Naughty Dog certainly is banking on it, hoping the game manages to outsell the first game and do more than 2.5 million copies worldwide.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Multiplayer Demo Impressions by GamingBolt
GB writes: "The demo itself is just an online demo, there is no single player at all, and the demo offers so much content that you could consider it a beta (well, technically it is a beta). It offers 2 Co-Op modes, 4 competitive modes, 5 maps, and more. This is probably the biggest demo to ever hit the Playstation Store, and the soul reason is because it lets you do alot of things, there is even the Machinima mode in there! Players even get to level up, buy boosters, characters, and more. but now I will talk about my personal thoughts of the game itself."
Bungie Caught Playing Uncharted 2 Among Theives.
A couple of Bungie guys making their way through the crowed to play none other than, the Critically Acclaimed!, Uncharted 2 Among Thieves Multiplayer Demo. When asked, "How could you play a PS3 Exclusive in public?" they responded…
Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Demo: Biggest In History?
PSXExtreme writes: "You know, we’ve played 10-minute demos in the past, and although the length of playable demos has begun to expand, perhaps nothing will be able to touch the depth of what’s coming for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
As most of you know, a multiplayer demo will release this week – if you’ve pre-ordered the game from GameStop; otherwise, you’ll have to wait until September 29 to try it – and most are very excited. But it’d be a mistake to assume that this is "just another demo." No, after reading the full details, this early multiplayer jaunt might be the single biggest demo in history. Naughty Dog says they want to jam as much of the finalized multiplayer experience into a "reasonably sized file," which by the way comes to 1.5GB. This 1.5GB gives you four maps, four competitive modes, two co-op modes, that awesome cinema mode, the chance to create custom games for you and others, access to new skins, and 80% of the booster skills that will be in the full version. …uh, isn’t that pretty much a whole game right there? As IGN said, it’s a damn good thing this demo ends on launch day; otherwise, people just might play this for months on end. Heck, you can even take advantage of the money system that lets you use accumulated cash to purchase new skins, boosters, weapon upgrades and taunts! We didn’t have half this stuff in the multiplayer beta earlier in the summer, for crying out loud.
But anyway, if this isn’t enough incentive for you to pre-purchase Uncharted 2, you should have your "gamer" label revoked."
