Namco Bandai took the veils off Super Robot Taisen L in Japan today, marking the latest installment in their long-running series of robo-strategy RPGs. The new game is due out November 25 over there and is slated to cost 6090 yen.

SRTL will feature robots from a total of 17 anime properties, first and foremost no doubt being Evangelion Unit 01 from the new series of Eva flicks. Other new names making their SRT debut here include Macross F, Linebarrels of Iron, Dancouga Nova, and old-school tentacle OVA Fight!! Iczer One.

You can expect few gameplay changes with this latest SRT, though — it’s still a mixture of turn-based simulation and conversation sequences between the story’s main players.

Looks like there’s truth in the rumors that Xbox Live Arcade would see a port of Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. A listing for the 2002 side-scrolling action game has turned up on Microsoft’s official Xbox Live Arcade website.

There’s no pricing info or planned release date provided on the site, but you can likely expect Manhattan Project to fall in line with Duke Nukem 3D’s $10 (800 Microsoft points) price tag. And just like the original version, the XBLA release of Manhattan Project sports an M rating from the ESRB — thanks, no doubt, to Duke’s trademark chauvinistic banter and all that sweet, sweet violence.

Whenever this thing comes out, it should be a blast seeing how well Manhattan Project holds up against other side-scrolling XBLA fare like Shadow Complex and Bionic Commando: Rearmed.

What was the biggest problem with Dead Space? Isaac Clarke. The silent star of the sci-fi survival horror FPS did what needed to be done, but while he had a deep backstory and his own agenda, none of that personality came through in the game.

But Dead Space 2 hopes to change all that, according to executive director, Steve Papoutsis. He brought an early build of the game by the office, and while the bulk of the demo focused on a couple of the weapons and enemies new to the sequel (which you’ll no doubt be able to read about in great detail on the game’s official website), I was a lot more interested in Isaac and the changes that he’ll be going through. “He just went through this nasty situation on the Ishimura, you’d expect him to have something to say about it,” says Papoutsis. “In Dead Space 2, you’ll get to hear a little bit more of his thoughts on what’s going on [...] When we sat down to do this game, that’s one of the first things we decided we were going to do: give Isaac a voice, to see his face a bit more.”

Activision must have broken some mirrors or crossed a black cat because their bad luck is getting worse. It seems that everybody is against Activision these days, even bands like No Doubt.

But that’s not all that’s in store for gamers going back to Gotham.  Gameplay has been expanded through the inclusion of all six previously released DLC maps. Yes, you can now face-off against Arkham Asylum’s toughest inmates in some of the iconic environs from the game such as the infamous Crime Alley and the insane Scarecrow Nightmare.

Who’s crueler than the Joker ?  Why those baddies at Eidos, naturally.  They are withholding all of the batterang goodness from those of us in The States.  We are not targeted to get BAA:GotY until May.  Holy Delayed Gratification, Batman !

CNN.com – "God of War III" is officially out today, and scores of gamers are no doubt fighting fatigue after waiting in line last night to get their hands on this highly anticipated game. "GOW III" follows a warrior, Kratos, who has a serious beef with the ancient Greek gods. He battles zombie warriors, minotaurs, ogres and other mythological creatures on his way to exact revenge. And when he gets to the gods, "God of War III" gets really good.

Two of CNN.com’s resident gamers, Larry Frum and Dereyck Moore, have played the game and are raving about it.

Exophase.com writes, "There’s no doubt about it – 4A Games‘ recently released post-apocalyptic shooter sure is a looker. As far as interior environments are concerned, we have the gall to say to say that it competes with the mighty Crysis graphically. Surpasses it, even."
