2. The PlayStation Network Is Better Than Xbox Live

PlayStation got it right with its Free service to gamers offering unmatched games and game content along with robust Blu-Ray video content from Netflix and major studios.

3. PS3 Is A More Reliable And Better Engineered Product Than Xbox 360.

Yes, engineering and reliability matter particularly for hard core gamers that are banging on a system day in and day out.

Microsoft does well with Xbox 360, but needs to try harder

The news flow is abuzz this week with stats about Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) and its Xbox 360 console. According to reports, the company has sold 30 million units of the gaming hardware around the world. Nintendo Co., Ltd. (OTC: NTDOY) is still in first place with 50 million Wii consoles sold. And Sony Corporation (NYSE: SNE)? Well, the PlayStation 3 is decidedly third with roughly 22 million systems moved through retail channels. And don’t start with that Xbox-360-had-a-year-over-Sony excuse. Doesn’t matter. Microsoft has so far played it well.

Sony PS3 Outsells Nintendo Wii in Japan 2 Months in a Row

For the second month straight, the Sony (NYSE:SNE) PS3 gaming console has outsold the world-leader Nintendo (OTC:NTDOY) Wii. For the 4 weeks leading up to April 26th, domestic PS3 sales reached 108,530 while Wii sales were only 67,116. PS3 was boosted by a trial launch of the upcoming game "Final Fantasy XIII," the newest installment in an immensely popular series. Watch for FFXIII hype to drive further PS3 sales while Nintendo tries to combat the system with a new Wii Sports and Electronic Arts’ (NASDAQ:ERTS) new Tiger Woods game, which will feature a new Wii-mote add-on making controls much more sensitive.
