Deadly Premonition Brings More Survival Horror To The 360

Posted by admin On February - 23 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Ignition Entertainment has shipped Deadly Premonition to stores.  Why wait for some redo of Resident Evil 5 when you can jump on a new story?  The $19.99 price tag doesn’t hurt much either!  C’mon, you get side quests, mini fishing games, crazy characters, and 20 hours or so of game play.  You can’t even go see a good horror movie for that price.

Resident Evil 5 DLC Available Now

Posted by admin On February - 17 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Capcom announced today that the first downloadable installment for Resident Evil 5, “Lost in Nightmares,” is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace and will be available tomorrow on the Playstation Store. “Lost in Nightmares” lets players control the action leading up to the death of Jill Valentine, a story that was previously told only through cut scenes. In addition to the campaign component, “Lost in Nightmares” also comes with two new playable characters for The Mercanaries Reunion.

The second content pack for Resident Evil 5, “Desperate Escape,” will be available on March 3 for Xbox Live and March 4 on the Playstation Network. Furthermore, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, which will release on March 9, will have both content packs on a single Blu-Ray disc for the Playstation 3 and will come with a download token for the Xbox 360 version.

Battle of Forli: What the Hell, Ubisoft?

Posted by admin On February - 9 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Gamersmint writes: "Downloadable content, these days, is becoming a crutch for game developers to lean on for earning some loose change (a lot of loose change in fact). We all know of Capcom’s infamous Resident Evil 5 multiplayer DLC stunt. While Ubisoft has not fallen to that level, ‘Battle of Forli’ still reeks of heresy."

Resident Evil 5 DLC was a part of RE5 from the start

Posted by admin On December - 25 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Nick @ PS3Center writes:

In a recent interview with the Japanese publication Dengeki PlayStation, Resident Evil 5 assistant producer Mie Suzuki gave a little more insight into the scenarios planned for the DLC. Apparently, the Desperate Escape and Lost in Nightmares levels were planned from the start of the game’s development, but removed to improve the pacing of the narrative.

Dear Capcom, This is What We Want in Resident Evil 6

Posted by admin On November - 29 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

BD Writes: You should be warned this article could probably be renamed to something along the lines of ‘What I Want in Resident Evil 6, and why it really doesn’t need a multiplayer’, because I feel that a lot of the problems I have with RE5 stem from the series’ recent foray into co-op play. So if you’re of the mind that every game needs a multiplayer feature to be worth $60, there’s a very good chance you won’t be gleaning too much here (but I guarantee my occasional clever witticism still make reading this worthwhile). If you’re like me and you feel that Resident Evil 5 let you down, you should definitely read on to hear me bitch and moan about what the game did wrong and how I think Capcom can fix it all with Resident Evil 6.
