Today a new website for a still unnamed "Mikami Shinji Project" has been opened, with a countdown starting at 2 weeks.

Nothing is known about what kind of game will be unveiled, but it’s presumably the first brainchild of studio Tango, the new studio just founded by Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil series.

Review: Deadly Premonition (Destructoid)

Posted by admin On February - 27 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

"We knew it would be a disturbed, crazy, very silly game, and we were prepared for more than enough cheesy, ironic humor. We were ready to laugh at it, in other words. However, nobody at Destructoid was truly prepared for this game. Nobody can be prepared for it. Despite taking its cues from Silent Hill, Clock Tower, Resident Evil and, of course, Twin Peaks, Deadly Premonition manages to be completely unique. In all honesty, there is nothing like this game. Perhaps there never will be again."

IGN: Deadly Premonition Review

Posted by admin On February - 23 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Awful in nearly every way. The Twin Peaks meets Resident Evil with a dash of Grand Theft Auto formula sounds pretty great, but it was well beyond the capabilities of this development team. Terrible controls. Terrible pacing. Terrible sound effects. Terrible visuals. Maybe you can convince yourself that these things don’t matter as you work through this surreal and quirky storyline. The rest will be off playing better videogames.

Presentation – 6.0

Graphics – 1.0

Sound – 2.0

Gameplay – 3.0

Lasting Appeal – 3.0

Capcom announced today that the first downloadable installment for Resident Evil 5, “Lost in Nightmares,” is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace and will be available tomorrow on the Playstation Store. “Lost in Nightmares” lets players control the action leading up to the death of Jill Valentine, a story that was previously told only through cut scenes. The second content pack for Resident Evil 5, “Desperate Escape,” will be available on March 3 for Xbox Live and March 4 on the Playstation Network. Furthermore, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, which will release on March 9, will have both content packs on a single Blu-Ray disc for the Playstation 3 and will come with a download token for the Xbox 360 version.

Battle of Forli: What the Hell, Ubisoft?

Posted by admin On February - 9 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Gamersmint writes: "Downloadable content, these days, is becoming a crutch for game developers to lean on for earning some loose change (a lot of loose change in fact). We all know of Capcom’s infamous Resident Evil 5 multiplayer DLC stunt. While Ubisoft has not fallen to that level, ‘Battle of Forli’ still reeks of heresy."
