Rapture may not be as mysterious and intriguing this second time around, but it is nonetheless host to a powerful and moving tale that allows you to better realize–or pervert–Ryan’s principles at your own discretion. Regardless of whether or not this is a return visit to paradise lost, there is plenty to be found here to make it a worthwhile, meaningful, and compelling one.
If you’re reading this and you own an Xbox 360, chances are you have seen this image at least once. In fact even if you aren’t an Xbox owner chances are you know someone who has. Â Unfortunately for Xbox owners this seems to be a far more regular occurance than it should be.
In a survey of 5000 gamers carried out by Game Informer they found that 54.2% of Xbox owners had their Xbox die on them at least once with a terrifying 41.2% having their Xbox die a second time. Compare this to the PS3 which has a failure rate of just 10.6% with 14.7% experiencing a second failure and the Wii’s results of 6.8% and 11% respectively then the numbers make scary reading both for 360 gamers and Microsoft.
The other startling fact thrown up by the survey are that 69.9% of gamers know someone who has had a suicidal Xbox 360 next to 12.4% for PS3 and just 6% for the Wii. The approval ratings for customer service are also pretty appalling for Microsoft with only 37.7% of customers being satisfied by their service compared to 51.1% for Sony and 56.1% for Nintendo. These numbers are pretty bad across the board when you think that each company is aiming for 100% customer satisfaction.
These jaw-dropping figures were published in September’s issue of Game Informer and we would hope that someone from Microsoft reads them and takes note.
The News: Joystiq reports that a Comic Con’s Top Cow Productions panel confirmed the development of a sequel to 2007’s The Darkness. The follow-up had previously been hinted at during a 2008 panel at the New York Comic Con, but this is the first official confirmation that the game is currently in development.
Our Take: The first game did respectable sales numbers and was generally regarded as a solid shooter despite some minor issues. In particular, most critics and fans felt the multiplayer mode was weak and gimmicky, and saw it as an afterthought. For the second time around, we’re likely to see the first game’s criticisms taken to heart, especially in delivering a more fleshed-out multiplayer mode.
For the second time in three years, the man who led the E3 briefing for the Xbox 360 has left Microsoft to take a job at Electronic Arts. Microsoft’s John Schappert will once again become EA’s John Schappert when the founder of EA’s football giant Tiburon returns to the company as its Chief Operation Officer next month.
GameSpot writes: "That’s a word that can be used to describe almost every aspect of Prototype, and although there’s no multiplayer component, you’re free to remain in Manhattan long after you’ve beaten the story or, if you prefer, go through it a second time while retaining all of the powers that you already unlocked. Prototype is good enough that you’ll almost certainly want to keep playing either way, and even if you don’t, there’s more than enough fun to be had here in a single play through for us to recommend the game without hesitation".

Spanish website HardGame2 writes: "The Dragon Ball series return for a second time to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 since mid last year could enjoy Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit. Through the pages of a Japanese magazine, Namco Bandai has announced the development of Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, which will launch on PS3 and 360.
There are no details of the game, unless they belong to the genre fighting and that will be launched in 2009 in Japan".
The original Pop WiiWare release was quite an entertaining little game that featured a very simple, yet addictive game play experience. With the introduction of Pop Plus: Solo on the DSiWare service, Nnooo hopes to capture lightning in a bottle for the second time.
