iPhone-Scoop: Nintendo and Sony need to keep their eyes open, there will soon be a game accessory for the iPhone that will soon be released and this will see users moving out in swarms just to grab a hold of it.
The patented accessory is apparently the D-pad that also has control buttons and is said to wrap around the "portable electronic device" along with something that looks like a touch screen that is said to convert the iPhone or the iPad into something better than a Sony PSP or even a Nintendo.
All you can do for now is imagine how cool it would be just to snap open your D-pad for your iPad or your iPhone, you will almost feel like someone from the best of technological worlds with the game shooters, games fighters, plat formers that seem to work excellently with tactile features.
Have five years really gone by so quickly? Today marks the fifth birthday for the Sony PSP. During this time we have had the PSP Phat, PSP Slim, and PSPGo. So that is like getting teeth, crawling, and walking right?
We know you want some sales figures. Here they come. 17 million PSPs have been sold in this region to date. The worldwide figures clock in at over 60 million units sold. Keep in mind that this is the only portable console to survive this long against some other company’s portable offerings.
Now that we have watched junior grow into a fine boy we are ready to see a sibling. You hear us Sony? PSP2 needs to be born. Make sure this one has some dual analogs as well.

In an interesting move, Konami is releasing Puzzle Chronicles on February 18, 2010 for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.
Wait, that’s not interesting.
What’s really interesting is the fact that the game will be releasing on XBox and PS3 soon after that. Yep, these games are STARTING on the portable gaming platforms, and THEN coming to the big boys. Kinda cool. Check out the screens below and stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
