Torrence Davis of The Bitbag writes, "After the official announcement of MOVE by Sony and the results of NPD, I had to see what was on Aaron Greenberg’s mind. PS3 motion controller fails to Move

Posted by admin On March - 11 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Financial Times: Sony has failed to market its motion technology to maximum effect and its launch of its Move motion controller for the PlayStation 3 on Wednesday represents it arriving late to the current-generation game and with little new to offer.

The demonstrations were unimpressive. It was hard to see how this was much of an advance on the motion-sensing gameplay currently offered by Nintendo.

At GDC 2010 this week, Sony showed off the PlayStation Move, a copy cat to the Wii remote and Nunchuk for the most part, calling it the "next generation of motion gaming". The only difference really is the PSMove uses the PlayStation Eye camera and the Wii doesn’t.

Sony’s Motion Controller Underwhelms With Janky Games

Posted by admin On March - 11 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Wired: Sony let us try a few of the games after its presentation. On the whole, they weren’t that much fun, feeling more like rough proof-of-concept tech demos than software that’s will excite consumers. At this point, the software isn’t living up to the promises of the technology.

Scorched Angel Writes: Overall, this game is a must buy for any baseball fan. It is up there with some of the best baseball games of all time, and is one that deserves to go on your shelf. Sony literally hit it out of the park this year. Even with the problems in the online mode, this game is still worthy of a buy, as it will last you well past when the next MLB The Show comes out. It is truly still the king of baseball simulation.

Final Fantasy XIII: massive screen tearing for PS3 SDTV gamers

Posted by admin On March - 11 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Critical Gamer writes: Final Fantasy XIII has been the source of much sniping between Sony and Microsoft fanboys, long before the English language release. Those in the Sony camp may have recently thought that they had ‘won’, now that it is generally accepted that the Xbox 360 version is inferior on a technical level. This includes the fact that the PS3 version runs at a higher resolution; but this seems to have turned out to be a poisoned chalice.
