Nintendo reports 550,000 consoles sold in US during important November 22-28 window; DS Lite, DSi set new handheld record with combined 1-million-unit haul.

In replay of the glitches and matchmaking problems of Modern Warfare 2, Robert Bowling just tweeted that they planning a major title update for Modern Warfare 2.

"At the moment were on Holiday (Thanksgiving) but playing and tracking feedback for the first major title update."

Uncharted developers Naughty Dog have turned handsome hero Nathan Drake into a hulking heap of fat in multiplayer for this weekend only after he had "a few too many helpings" during Thanksgiving.

And it’s not only Nathan who should be ashamed as Zoran Lazarevic, Nathan’s nemesis, has also had a few too many turkeys.

Digital games store Impulse revealed their Thanksgiving weekend bonuses today. Sins of a Solar Empire and Resident Evil 5 are two of the games receiving heavy discounts.

Blend Games writes:

Mass Effect 2 is just around the corner. January! It’s hard to believe after waiting so long for the sequel to the greatest "space opera" we’ve ever played. But what to do until then? Play Mass Effect over Thanksgiving, obviously! Honestly, Thanksgiving is four-and-a-half days off, and who wants to spend it with family? Yuck! Instead, here’s ten reasons you should pop Mass Effect back into your 360/PC in preparation for the sequel.

It doesn’t feel like much of a roundup when there’s just one game to be rounded up, but hey, at least the game in question is in the spirit of the season. The one and only XBLA release this Thanksgiving week is Madden NFL Arcade, a bite sized version of the popular Madden NFL franchise. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and what better way to celebrate than by kicking your loved ones’ asses at some football? Madden NFL Arcade is a fast paced football game with a stripped down set of rules designed to keep things fast and furious. There are no first downs, no time limit, and the first team to hit 30 points wins. Games go by quickly, and the gameplay works well for multiplayer matches. My only complaint is the lack of depth. The game is supposed to be accessible, but with only three options for each play, things get stale pretty fast. For 1200 Microsoft Points, I would have liked to see some more replay value, but hey, $15 is a small price to pay to see the look on Uncle Dave’s face when you wipe the floor with him after a hearty turkey dinner, and before the tryptophan nap.
