GoNintendo: Awhile back, we saw a Toys R’ Us poster that indicated a Nov. 16th release for Pokemon Rumble in North America. That date is fast approaching (this coming Monday), but could a demo be on the way as well?
PlayStation 3 owners visiting ToysRUs.com may have had a brief thrill today when they saw PlayStation 3 box art for Rockstar’s supposedly Xbox-only Grand Theft Auto IV expansion disc on the company’s site. Just an error, according to Rockstar.
Complete details regarding the Toys R Us deal have been released, which includes a chance to receive $5 off the purchase, preorder information, and point cards details (US only).
Starting on October 11, gamers will be able to receive three titles for the price of two.
TheGameReviews writes: "On September 11, Kotaku stated that they had been forwarded advance retail listings from Wal-Mart indicating that the Wii will be having its first price drop in early October, although the ad failed to specify the price. Shortly afterwards, an alleged upcoming Toys ‘R’ Us ad emerged, stating that the price cut would bring the Wii down to $199, a significant drop of $50. The advert also stated that this would come into effect from the end of September, earlier than initially suggested by Wal-Mart. If this is true, it suggests that an announcement could come from Nintendo during the Tokyo Game Show in a couple of weeks time. Nintendo aren’t officially at TGS this year, but they will be present at the Kyoto Cross Media Experience at the same time and would no doubt love to get the news out during the TGS buzz."

Following a leaked Wal-Mart ad that indicated the Wii would be receiving a “price rollback” at the start of October, new evidence has now popped up from another retailer to further support an impending $50 price drop for Nintendo’s massively popular console.
This time, the ad comes from Toys R Us, which prominently displays a “Wii Price Cut!” and a new price of $199 (via Kotaku). The ad is apparently set to be distributed the last week of September, indicating the price drop could be effective before the end of the month (the Wal-Mart ad suggested it wouldn’t occur until the first week of October).
Nintendo, believe it or not, has yet to confirm or deny the price cut advertised in these leaked circulars, but the mounting evidence seems to be making it pretty clear: come October, the Wii will more than likely once again be $100 cheaper than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. So if you’re thinking of picking one up, probably best to wait a little bit longer to see what happens.
Nintendo aren’t one to generally drop price, especially when a product hasn’t been out very long. However, our source, who works for Toys ‘R’ Us in Canada, has let us know that there will be a price cut for the Nintendo DSi tomorrow.
