Privates Might Not Receive Approval For Xbox Live Release

Privates

This seemed like a pretty logical jump to make when hearing that Zombie Cow’s upcoming shooter would take place in locations such as a vagina, but now a Microsoft spokesperson has made it clear that — by the sound of it — the odds of Privates receiving approval and making it onto the Xbox Live Indie Games service is unlikely.

Xbox spokesperson David Dennis sent website seattlepi.com a statement (via Kotaku) addressing the situation.

“This game has not been submitted to our pre-publication peer review process, and it has not been approved for distribution on Xbox Live Indie Games. We have guidelines in place that closely track requirements of content ratings boards worldwide and, among other things, prohibit the publication of strong sexual content.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is Coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 from Capcom

Posted by admin On April - 17 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

From the PlanetXbox360 feature rumor-buster article:

"Over the past couple days gaming publisher Capcom Entertainment have been holding it’s annual Captivate press event over in Hawaii (don’t ask me why it must be so extravagant) and we have all the juicy details on exactly what was unveiled. Everything that came out of the event was not mind-blowing or even surprising at all; the attendees got to go hands-on with near final builds of Lost Planet 2 and Dead Rising 2 – something we expect to see much more of over the next few months (especially at E3 2010). All-along we knew there would be at least one, maybe two major announcements coming out of the event, and lucky for you we have been in contact with a few super-secret sources (names withheld for privacy issues) and put some other information together just based on who was traveling where and other industry tidbits. First let me remind you that this source of mine has been right 19/20 of the last tips he gave me, not minor tips but major game-changing information. Without further ado let me reveal to you exactly what Xbox 360-related video games were being shown at Captivate 10 in Hawaii (seems a bit of a glamorous location to show off a couple games, hmmm)"

Would You Pay a Girl to Play Halo With You?

Posted by admin On March - 23 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Via IGN: "If you’re an avid online gamer chances are you sign onto, say, Xbox Live most nights and jump into a game of Modern Warfare or Gears of War with either your friends or some random players. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say the majority of gamers you encounter are dudes, and probably immature dudes at that. What if you could pay a bit of cash to play Modern Warfare with an attractive girl? Or maybe relax with a casual game of checkers while you video chat with said female? A new social service launching tomorrow, March 23, called GameCrush (www.GameCrush.com) is hoping there are gamers out there willing to pay for the opportunity to play with girls.

[...]When the service launches tomorrow it will only support the Xbox 360 and a few casual games hosted on the GameCrush website, but there are plans to add PlayStation 3, Wii, and World of Warcraft support as soon as possible."

How a USB Memory Update Could Destroy Xbox LIVE

Posted by admin On March - 19 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

With the closure of Xbox LIVE for Xbox Originals on April 16th to make way for future planned developments to Xbox LIVE on the 360 – it certainly would come as no surprise that an update would be in store to bring gamers a much needed improvement to the service. This could bring many new features such as interactivity with the upcoming Windows Mobile 7, a huge increase to your friends list with the ability to create groups, but would Microsoft really be that stupid to allow any gamer to freely download Xbox LIVE Arcade games, Indie Games, Games on Demand and DLC content to a USB Memory Device?
